Executive training & development company, HFL Leadership, created a new programme to help increase the influence, and effectiveness of subject matter experts. The programme was tried, tested and proven over a two year period and the decision was made to create a new business – focussed on this alone. The client needed help getting the business up and running from a marketing perspective, and ongoing advice thereafter.
We built a plan to launch the business, create awareness and target the existing database, also extending into advertising & social media channels, throwing the net even wider. The first task was to examine the name, and develop a strategic positioning for the business as a whole. While the ‘experts’ would go through the program their superiors would generally make the decision, and there was often push back from subject matter experts when asked to go on course outside of their expertise, so this had to be taken into consideration too.
Once the positioning was agreed upon we wrote copy for the website, and a series of brochures for the different programmes, all talking to different target markets. Direct mail and Google retargeting ads followed afterwards.
