Overview:

Australian based walking holiday company, Auswalk, organises guided, self-guided & customised walking holidays all over the country. They started to extend the offering to overseas walks and needed some help promoting their new, and existing tours as the business entered a significant growth phase.

Approach

With an agency on board to manage SEO and SEM already, they needed a copywriter to take the keywords, and build engaging content that spoke convincingly to human beings, as well as Google’s algorithm.

– Long blogs
We started off writing three blogs a month, soon changing to two long blogs, and although we were exploring well-trodden paths we developed new and interesting angles that nobody else was talking about. The blogs were posted, then packaged up and sent to the database resulting in an instant lift in sales every month.

– Brand Strategy & Print Advertising
We also worked on the brand strategy, and created a series of print ads over the period of a year, promoting local and international walks in Great Walks magazine.

– Regional Tourist Guide
The decision was also made to build content rich sections of the website for the new locations too, and we were asked to write a regional guide to the misty Kii Mountains of Japan, where the legendary Kumano Kodo pilgrimage winds its way between three ancient temples.
