HIVERY is the world’s first, and only AI business that optimises space and assortment for vending machines. Starting in Sydney, the company has successfully expanded into the US, Europe & Japan. The technology was then rolled out to additional products addressing planograms, big box retailers and retail promotional calendars. After a round of additional investment, the business decided it was time to update the website, and we were approached to help in the process.
Approach
SEO is the starting point for all website projects, and so we began with keyword research to guide development of the site map. HIVERY are trailblazers in ‘hyper local retailing’, but unfortunately there isn’t much search for that term as yet. There was, however, lots of search for a range of issues their products solve, so we suggested a ‘retail fundamentals’ section of the website, talking directly to those topics. Assortment optimisation, category management & planograms were explored in a SEO friendly manner, providing valuable – and relevant – traffic for the site.
The rest of the copy was written balancing the highly technical content, with an approachable, down to earth tone of voice. Being on the cutting edge of AI, however, the technical tended to win out, specifically in the complex product sections. We were also asked to write case studies, and thought leadership articles around data, vending machines, COVID and the future of retailing.
Results
The project continued on during the initial stages of lockdown here in Australia, and the website launched in the second half of 2020.
